Accessibility Statement
IVGO is committed to making ivgorchestra.com accessible to everyone. This statement explains our current compliance status and how to contact us about accessibility issues.
This site is partially compliant. See known issues below.
Our Commitment
We want everyone to be able to use this website. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. This means you should be able to:
- Zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
- Navigate all functionality using a keyboard alone
- Listen to most of the website using a screen reader
- Use the site with a high-contrast display mode
Known Accessibility Issues
We know some parts of the website are not fully accessible. We are actively working to fix these:
- Custom cursor: The site uses a custom cursor on desktop. This is disabled automatically for touch/pointer-coarse devices. Keyboard navigation is not affected.
- Photo placeholder areas: Some images lack descriptive alt text. We are adding alt text as imagery is replaced during development.
- Video embeds: YouTube embeds do not currently provide captions for all content. We are working with our video archive team to add captions retroactively.
- Complex data tables: Some event listing tables may not be fully accessible to screen readers on older assistive technology.
Technical Information
This website is built with Elixir/Phoenix LiveView and renders semantic HTML5. We use ARIA landmarks and labels throughout. Colour contrast has been checked against WCAG 2.2 AA requirements for our primary text on dark background.
We use a skip navigation link (press Tab on any page to activate it) that jumps to the main content area, bypassing navigation.
Browser and Assistive Technology Support
We test with:
- VoiceOver (macOS / iOS) with Safari
- NVDA with Chrome (Windows)
- Keyboard-only navigation in Chrome and Firefox
At Our Concerts
We are committed to making our concerts physically accessible. All venues are reviewed for wheelchair access, hearing loops, and step-free entry before booking. If you have specific access requirements for one of our events, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you. Access tickets are available at reduced prices.
